Megan Lane is a respected government relations consultant specializing in lobbying and policy guidance.  Taking a modern approach to traditional lobbying, Megan recognizes government relations is quickly evolving into an industry that requires a diverse set of innovative solutions. She believes successful outcomes require a customized and multidisciplinary method, designed to help clients influence policy, improve legislative awareness, and become industry thought-leaders on The Hill. With over 18 years of experience, Megan has a broad client base, formulating legislative strategies for global corporations, trade associations, and non-profit organizations alike. 

 

Prior to founding Lane Government Relations, Megan served as Senior Associate for JohnsonPoss Government Relations, where she led effective lobbying efforts for a wide spectrum of clients, spanning from small startups to Fortune 500’s. Before joining JohnsonPoss, Megan served in roles with Tennessee Senate Speaker Pro Tempore and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander in Washington D.C.

 

A Nashville native, and a proud alumna of Belmont University, Megan has deep ties to the Nashville community. She has served on the Board of the Tennessee Lobbyist Association, the Board of Directors for Easter Seals Tennessee, and the YWCA of Nashville Junior Board. She and her husband live on a small hobby farm in Nashville with their two young children, where she enjoys native plant and pollinator gardening.
